Index of Industrial Production (IIP) increased by 0.2 per cent in July 2026 to 101.5 compared to July 2025, mainly contributed by the increases reported in the manufacture of Food products (10.1 per cent) and Other non-metallic mineral products (6.3 per cent).
In August 2026, Purchasing Managers’ Indices (PMIs) indicated an expansion in both Manufacturing and Services activities.
During the initial part of the period from 14 to 18 September 2026, crude oil prices increased to their highest levels since end May 2026, amidst heightened supply concerns following attacks on Saudi oil pipelines. Subsequently, prices declined as Saudi Arabia

benchmark prices remained above US dollars 100 per barrel at the end of the period. Overall, by the end of the period, Brent and
WTI crude oil prices had decreased by US dollars 3.89 and US dollars 1.38 per barrel, respectively, compared to a week earlier.
